Automotive Services

Challenge

Guangdong Automobile Sales and Service Group is the leading automotive dealership enterprise in South China, operating a total of 12 standard 4S dealerships and 3 city showrooms for luxury brands, joint ventures, and new energy brands, covering core cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan, with annual sales exceeding 20,000 units. Before reaching a deep cooperation with Shuntai Optoelectronics, the lightbox signage systems for each group store were distributed among local service providers, which could never meet the high standards of brand building and operation in the automotive industry.

Automotive brands, especially in the luxury and new energy sectors, have almost stringent requirements for terminal VI standards: there are clear numerical standards for storefront brightness, image color temperature, and color reproduction, but dispersed procurement leads to obvious color and brightness differences in lightboxes across stores, repeatedly failing brand headquarters' image inspections and directly affecting brand authorization ratings. Second, automotive showrooms have extremely high requirements for color rendering of lights. Ordinary light boxes lack sufficient color rendering index, making it impossible to authentically reproduce the paint texture and interior details, and even issues like color shifts and graying, seriously affecting customers' experience and conversion efficiency when visiting the dealership.

Pain points in outdoor scenarios are also prominent: 4S shop storefront lightboxes generally have a single area exceeding 80 square meters. Open street-facing locations are exposed year-round to strong sunlight, heavy rain, and typhoons. Ordinary lightboxes frequently experience issues such as fading images, water ingress from light sources, and deformed profiles, with an average annual repair frequency exceeding 4 times, and maintenance costs remain high. In addition, the group maintains an annual expansion pace of 2-3 new stores. Coupled with quarterly marketing refreshments and temporary auto show exhibitions, existing suppliers have limited production capacity and large delivery cycles, resulting in multiple material delays affecting openings and event schedules. At the same time, from outdoor storefronts, showroom posters, lightboxes, after-sales area signage to parking lot navigation systems, the entire scenario requires coordination with 3-4 different suppliers, resulting in scattered procurement management and after-sales responsibilities, communication costs, and operational efficiency being substandard. Therefore, the group urgently needs a source lightbox manufacturer with full product range capacity, standardized quality control, and full-chain service capabilities, to achieve systematic upgrades from four dimensions: brand compliance, display effectiveness, operation and maintenance costs, and delivery efficiency.

Solution

After multiple rounds of sample testing and factory inspections, the group selected Guangzhou Shuntai Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. as the supplier for the lightbox signage system for all stores. Relying on its 19 years of industry experience and large-scale production capacity of 10,000 square meters, it provides all its stores with a one-stop comprehensive solution covering solution design, production, installation, and operation and maintenance.

To meet the professional display needs of the automotive industry, Soonai Optoelectronics has tailored a dedicated product system for different scenarios: outdoor storefronts use large drawcloth lightboxes, equipped with high-brightness waterproof LED light sources and thickened aluminum alloy frames to meet the requirements for large-size, high-brightness brand displays; The indoor vehicle display area and marketing zone use high-color-rendering caliper light boxes with a light source color rendering index of Ra≥95, accurately reproducing paint colors and interior material details to meet professional exhibition standards in automotive showrooms; After-sales reception areas, repair workshops, and parking lots are equipped with standardized directional signs and functional indicator light boxes, balancing guidance and brand visual unity; At the same time, customized brand-exclusive neon illuminated text and dynamic lighting effects can be customized to create a tech-savvy atmosphere in new energy showrooms.

On the quality side, all products strictly follow the brand's official VI documents for custom production, with unified profile specifications, unified light source parameters, and unified high-precision image printing. Before leaving the factory, each unit undergoes brightness and color temperature calibration to ensure a highly consistent visual effect across all departments and stores, fully meeting the brand headquarters' acceptance standards. Outdoor products are specially upgraded with IP67-level waterproof driving and UV-resistant blade-scraping screens. The frame structure is reinforced for wind resistance, capable of withstanding level 12 typhoons, adapting to the hot, humid, and extreme weather characteristics of the southern coastal region; The indoor light box optimizes its heat dissipation structure to meet the store's daily operation needs of over 12 hours, effectively reducing light decay rates.

In terms of delivery and service, leveraging a 10,000-square-meter standardized factory and a daily capacity of 300 units, Centa Optoelectronics has opened a dedicated engineering order channel for the group, ensuring stable delivery of regular orders within 15 days. Urgent new store orders can be optimized and compressed through scheduling, while precise delivery is supported by batch and store segments, perfectly matching new store openings and marketing activity milestones. The group's dedicated account managers coordinate the entire process, providing full-chain services including on-site surveys, on-site installation, regular inspections, and rapid after-sales service. All store repair and maintenance requests are responded to in a unified manner, thoroughly solving the management pain points of multi-supplier integration.

Benefits

After the implementation of Shuntai Optoelectronics' full-scenario lightbox solution, the group achieved significant improvements in brand compliance, marketing conversion, and operational management. All store-wide lightbox logos passed VI image acceptance for all partner brands in one go. The unified and orderly visual presentation greatly strengthened the professional image at the terminal, with organic store foot traffic increasing by 18% compared to before the upgrade, and the brand headquarters' annual image score rising by 22 points.

The use of high-rendering light sources makes vehicle and interior displays more realistic and detailed, effectively optimizing the customer in-store experience. The store-to-store conversion rate increased by 12%, and customer satisfaction with the showroom image rose by 27%. The upgraded product durability has also led to a significant reduction in operation and maintenance costs: the annual failure rate of outdoor lightboxes has dropped by 83%, the average annual maintenance cost has dropped by 65%, and the lifespan of the light source has more than doubled compared to previous products, greatly minimizing disruptions from routine maintenance to store operations.

At the same time, the one-stop supply and exclusive service model reduced supplier management costs on the procurement side by 52%, increased on-time delivery rates to 98%, and completed the lightbox support process for new stores on average 7 days in advance, effectively ensuring the timely advancement of store expansion and marketing activities. From brand image to operational efficiency, from front-end display to back-end operation and maintenance, the entire solution provides solid hardware support for standardized automotive terminal operations.
